At only 3.25in tall, it doesn't catch on brush and branches, making it great for trail rides. It offers a frequency of 450-480 MHz and 2.0 dBi Gain. There are two versions available; the GROUND PLANE version for mounting on metal surfaces, and a NON-GROUND PLANE for non-metallic surfaces such as plastic roofs or mirror brackets. A ground plane is a horizontal conducting surface acting as part of an antenna to reflect radio waves.
